It is always great to hear about amazing people. He truly lived a honorable life despite all. And with his recent passing, I will cherish the book even more.
The book was almost like new even though it arrived quite late (2 weeks after placing the order). It is quite interesting too and I enjoyed reading it.
Dieses Buch überstieg bei weitem meine Erwartungen ... ich habe es nicht mehr aus der Hand gelegt. Es ist fast wie Muhammad Alis persönliches Geschenk an seine Fans, mit dem er sie an ganz persönlichen Erfahrungen und Gedanken teilhaben läßt. Ich kenne sehr viele Bücher über Ali, dieses ist eines der wenigen, die ich niemals mehr wieder hergeben werde.
Na ja. Ali mag der Greatest of All Times sein, der größte Schriftsteller ist er nicht. Der größte Selbstbeweihräucherer vermutlich. Wir erfahren von Ali persönlich, wie gut und selbstlos, fromm und wohltätig, liebevoll und warmherzig er ist. Nicht daß einige Einsichten und Äußerungen nicht gut, richtig oder gar weise wären. Aber sind sie von ihm?Ali ist unzweifelhaft ein großer Sportler. Seinen Mut, seinen Willen und sein Charisma kann, muss man bewundern. Auch die Art und Weise, wie er mit seiner Krankheit umgeht. Unzweifelhaft ist er ein gläubiger Mensch. Und vermutlich kann - könnte - seine Geschichte vielen Menschen Kraft geben, aber bei allem Respekt, da hätte er doch besser einen ordentlichen Ghostwriter genommen. Das ist einfach zu platt, literarisch zu uninspiriert, zu wenig Geschichte, zuviel Predigt. Zuviel Allah, zu wenig Ali.
